What is the Wine Institute of California

The Wine Institute of California, with its headoffice in San Francisco, is a private non-profit trade organization of California wineries, currently with over 600 members. The objective of its International Department is to increase wine exports from California by increasing awareness and knowledge of, and interest in California wines around the world.

We proudly promote California wine by organizing California pavilions at trade shows, conducting tastings and seminars in many markets, initiating public relations activities and retail promotions, distributing promotional materials, and disseminating relevant information about the California wine industry to the trade, media and consumers.
